Some residents in Agua Dulce had concerns about seeing bobcats in their neighborhood. Members of the BIT team met with them and provided suggestions about how humans and bobcats can easily coexist.

Following the capture and collaring of the bobcats, they were held in the capture cages until they were completely recovered from the drugs. Release sites, close to the capture site, were chosen with great care to ensure a safe release for the bobcats.
These video clips show the variety of each bobcat release. Some bolt like “a speeding bullet,” others stroll cautiously, a few growl, some back out, but each one receives the same joyful sendoff “Live long and prosper.”
