Research Team

The project is being conducted under the umbrella of the Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center (SWCC) in Scottsdale, Arizona. The primary research Team is made up of retired wildlife biologists volunteering their time and expertise. The core Team has over 150 years of wildlife management experience at the Arizona Game and Fish Department. The group has previously worked on Merriam's Wild Turkeys, Mountain Lions, Black Bears, Bobcats, other small carnivores and the endangered Allegheny Woodrats. As part of the capture team, wildlife veterinarians provide an additional level of monitoring and support in  safely handling captured bobcats.
